Job Description

Lead Clinical Excellence As Director of Nursing, you'll guide clinical services in our West St Paul assisted living community, ensuring residents receive safe, consistent, high-quality care while meeting Minnesota regulatory expectations. You'll provide accountable leadership for nursing operations, including resident assessments and care planning, medication and infection-prevention oversight, quality assurance/performance improvement, documentation review, and coordination with physicians and families. You'll also develop and mentor nursing staff, support scheduling and staffing plans, and partner with department leaders to resolve clinical concerns with professionalism and integrity.
Required qualifications/skills:
  • RN license and senior nursing leadership experience in assisted living or similar senior care
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and knowledge of assisted living regulations/compliance
  • Proven staff coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution ability
  • Comfort with EHRs and healthcare documentation systems
Pay:
$90,000
  • 110,000 plus $10,000 sign-on bonus.

A Typical Shift Your morning starts by reviewing overnight notes, staffing coverage, and any resident updates so you can set priorities early. You'll spend time rounding and connecting with residents and team members, then shift into meetings and touchpoints with families, providers, and internal leaders to keep plans aligned. Between check-ins, you'll review charts and reports, track quality indicators, and make timely calls when clinical questions arise. Most days follow a Monday-Friday rhythm (8-5 or 9-6), with occasional evenings/weekends for key meetings, surveys/inspections, or coverage; on-call support may be needed for urgent staffing or resident-care incidents.
