Job Description

Job Title - Assistant Director of Nursing (ASC)
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
: The Assistant Director of Nursing, along with the Clinical Director and Administrator are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the scheduling of procedures, staffing the facility, maintaining positive physician and vendor relationships, inventory control, QA/QI, preventative maintenance and safety, risk management and supporting services of the ambulatory surgical center and its personnel.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is that of leadership and promotion of cooperative staff effort. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for the allocation and completion of assigned functions in daily operations. Areas of accountability of the Assistant Director of Nursing are outlined as follows: Monitor day-to-day internal flow and physician relationships along with the Clinical Director Assist in Pre-Op, PACU, and OR if needed. Maintain adherence to operating policy/procedure manuals. AAAHC and CMS guidelines Monitor daily staffing of employees and assignments. Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, coworkers, and other health team members. Responsibility for assisting in performance evaluations as needed
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Current Registered Nurse License 2 years ASC Management experience PreOp/PACU/OR/SPD experience preferred Current BLS and ACLS certification
