Overview We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team. This leadership role offers an opportunity to influence clinical operations, support staff development, and uphold the highest standards of patient care. The ADON will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure efficient facility management and foster a positive environment for both residents and staff. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies. Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional development and maintaining high levels of team engagement. Participate in strategic planning initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Support budgeting processes by monitoring staffing levels, supply usage, and resource allocation to optimize costs without compromising quality. Coordinate educational programs and training sessions to enhance staff knowledge on best practices and regulatory updates. Foster a culture of compassionate care, safety, and continuous improvement within the nursing team. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that meet residents' needs. Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure. Proven management experience within a healthcare or long-term care setting. Strong skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and leadership development. Background in education administration or teaching within a healthcare context is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment. Experience working in a university or academic setting related to healthcare or nursing education is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on mentorship and staff engagement.
