Director of Nursing ( DON ) LTC

Seeking experienced Director of Nursing ( DON ) for our Long Term Care Facility Director of Nursing ( DON )

Qualifications:

Licensed by the State of Missouri as an Registered Nurse ( RN ) with a current license issued by the state. Prior experience in management for LTC or related facility prefered Knowledge of state requirements for LTC and ALF facilities prefered Director of Nursing ( DON )

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, educate and coordinate care for the seniors that reside at the facility insuring the highest possibility of care is give at all times. Monitoring the staffing / census numbers to ensure that the correct number of staff are scheduled to meet the needs of the residents Participate in planning, budgeting and development of residents centered care working with the MDS/Care Plan team to ensure that all residents' needs are documented in the plan of care that the MDS is done in a timely manner. Ensure that all resident medications, treatment and therapies are completed when due and signed off on the appropriate documents Conduct regularly scheduled meetings like care plans with families, MDS, Quality Improvement, Medicare Review as well as other meetings as directed Work with visiting physicians and assure orders are carried out as ordered Oversee and review controlled substance and the medication ordered from and returned to the pharmacy Complete chart audits to ensure proper documentation of resident care Be prepared and respond to state audits and surveys with appropriate documentation and plan of corrections Be available for an on call schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays If this Director of Nursing ( DON ) position is of interest to you, please apply today.
