Primary Responsibilities:

Supports practices, philosophy, nursing objectives and standards of the Nursing Department and participates in the revision of the aforementioned items as necessary to ensure quality of care to all residents. Safety concerns are identified, and appropriate actions are taken to maintain and assure Resident safety. Ensure Implementation of Residents' care planning process in compliance with resident's needs, facility policies and procedure and regulatory requirements. Ensures the process of an in-service staff development program that contributes to meeting nursing objective and policies and procedures to comply with state and federal regulations. Ensure that the nursing department is sufficiently staffed to provide quality care to residents. Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for safety, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Supports and participates in common teamwork with co-workers using tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations, reporting complaints, problems and concerns regarding co-workers, management, or residents in accordance with company policy.
