About the Role Outfield Health Care Partners is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical operations at our Skilled Nursing facility in Independence, Missouri . The ADON works directly under the Director of Nursing (DON) and assists with daily clinical leadership, staff supervision, compliance, and resident care oversight. In the absence of the DON, the ADON carries delegated authority to ensure continuity of care and smooth facility operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong nurse leader who enjoys mentoring staff, maintaining clinical excellence, and protecting resident rights. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical and administrative operations Provide leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, and ongoing training Monitor resident records and clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance Support investigations of incidents, unusual occurrences, or alleged abuse and report promptly to the DON Ensure resident rights, safety, and dignity are protected at all times Participate in quality assurance activities and regulatory compliance efforts Promote excellent customer service and positive resident/family experiences Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN nursing program Current nursing license in the state of Missouri (RN preferred) 2+ years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience CPR/BLS certification Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and customer service skills Demonstrated leadership ability and professionalism Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) Administrative and organizational skills with flexibility in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of federal, state, and local skilled nursing regulations Why Join Outfield Health Care Partners?
