The Director of Nursing (DON) develops a collaborative and efficient workplace with specific attention to quality resident care. The Director of Nursing (DON) performs a range of duties, including maintaining the Nursing Department, setting long-term goals, and overseeing record-keeping processes. Qualifications for Director of Nursing (DON): 2 years of leadership/managment experience Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required 2 years of working in LTC/SNF or similar setting In-depth knowledge of legal policies and regulations in the healthcare industry Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Duties and Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON) : Supervising all nursing staff Overseeing department budgets Reporting to higher management in the healthcare facilities Maintaining high standards of care for all patients Managing patients' data and medical records as confidential records Communicating with doctors, patients and family members about patient health Training and onboarding new nursing staff Providing ongoing education classes Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies All other duties assigned by the Administrator Join us as the Director of Nursing (DON) today!
