Director of Nursing (DON) - Cedargate Healthcare Poplar Bluff, MO | Skilled Nursing Facility | Leadership Role Cedargate Healthcare is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations in our 108-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center . This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a strong nurse leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity environments , enjoys turnaround situations , and is committed to clinical excellence and team development . We are part of a growing healthcare organization , offering advancement opportunities for leaders who drive change and improve outcomes. Responsibilities Lead daily nursing operations in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) Ensure CMS compliance, regulatory readiness, and successful state surveys Oversee clinical quality, resident care, and nursing documentation standards Lead staff education, in-services, and clinical training programs Manage and develop nursing leadership and frontline teams Support behavioral health, dementia, and high-acuity residents Drive improvement in quality measures, staffing, and resident outcomes Provide calm, decisive leadership in a challenging or turnaround environment Qualifications Active RN license (Missouri or compact state) Prior experience as DON or ADON in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) Strong experience with state survey process / CMS compliance Proven leadership in turnaround or high-acuity facilities Strong skills in staff development, education, and team building Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary + monthly incentive bonus Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401(k) Paid time off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Telemedicine ($0 copay) Wellness resources through Mayo Clinic programs Why Join Cedargate?
