Job Description

One of LSC's senior living communities, Trinity Elm HR, is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership and support exceptional care for residents as part of our mission‑driven Senior Services network. Role Description The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement best practices in patient care. Responsibilities include managing a team of nursing staff, coordinating care plans for individuals, ensuring infection control procedures are in place, and maintaining high-quality standards in long-term care settings. This role also requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to meet the medical and emotional needs of clients under LSC's care. Assign and delegate responsibilities appropriately within the department. Collaborate in reviewing and updating policies and procedures. Develop a master staffing plan to fulfil departmental objectives and uphold nursing care standards. Prepare and recommend departmental budgets; assess requirements for facilities, supplies, and equipment; implement systems for evaluation and control. Design, implement, and evaluate programs for nursing personnel. Establish benchmarks for assessing the quality and quantity of nursing care provided. Oversee in-service training initiatives and opportunities for nursing staff development. Coordinate with administrative and other departmental staff to plan resident services. Maintain accurate systems for records and reporting. Liaise with educational institutions to facilitate clinical training and learning experiences. Represent the nursing department in institutional, corporate, and community committee meetings. Provide administrative reports regarding nursing care status. Serve as the primary contact between medical personnel and the nursing department. Ensure the availability of emergency medications and equipment. Administer disciplinary actions when necessary, in accordance with policy. Carry out monthly and quarterly quality assurance checks using established performance improvement processes. Undertake on-call responsibilities as required. Compensation & Benefits $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over 2 years Full-time, salaried (Monday-Friday) with on-call rotation Benefits eligibility after just 30 days , including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off (PTO) Retirement plan options Free medical insurance option with $0 premium available Qualifications Strong expertise in Nursing, Nursing Management, and Long-term Care/Geriatric nursing Knowledge of Medicine, including patient care standards and practices Proficiency in developing and implementing Infection Control protocols Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant jurisdiction Degree in Nursing or graduated from an accredited school of nursing Prior experience in long-term care or healthcare management is desirable
