Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - $10,000
Sign-on Bonus Job Summary:
Good Shepherd Lutheran Community is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the ADON will provide guidance and support to the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Services department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and leadership, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and implementing the nursing department's goals and objectives Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including supervising, coaching, and mentoring Participate in daily or weekly management team meetings to discuss census changes, resident changes in status, complaints or concerns Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, consultants, and community agencies to ensure high-quality care and services Monitor and improve quality of care, including compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices Participate in budget development and management, including ensuring effective use of resources Ensure proper staffing and scheduling to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services Participate in performance improvement activities, including quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or other related healthcare facility Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practicing state Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care Current CPR certification Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Ability to make independent decisions and work with minimal supervision
