Full-Time (35 Hours per Week) Schedule Monday-Friday, 5:45 AM-1:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays as needed by the agency. Position Summary New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. The ADON provides direct patient care, ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations, maintains accurate clinical documentation, assists with the management of the Medical Department, and supports operations of the agency's Mobile Medication Unit. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the ADON assumes leadership responsibilities for the department. Key Responsibilities Administer and dispense methadone in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Monitor patient health status and medication responses. Maintain accurate patient records and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Complete nursing assessments, progress notes, medication records, and other required clinical documentation. Coordinate physician appointments, laboratory testing, and follow-up care. Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and health-related concerns. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case conferences. Perform Mantoux (TB) testing and EKGs as required. Maintain medical supplies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Assist in the coordination, oversight, and operation of the agency's Mobile Medication Unit, including medication dispensing, patient care, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Support staff training, supervision, and daily Medical Department operations. Assist with quality assurance activities and preparation for audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews. Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff and other interdisciplinary team members. Perform Director of Nursing duties in their absence. Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience. Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team. Preferred Experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Behavioral Health, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), or community-based healthcare settings. Supervisory, charge nurse, or nursing leadership experience. Experience working in mobile healthcare or community outreach programs.
