As a licensed New Mexico home health agency, we provide in-home nursing and caregiver services to former Department of Energy and uranium workers who qualify for benefits through the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). We're growing and looking for an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) who wants to be part of a mission-driven organization where quality patient care comes first. This is a unique opportunity for a nurse leader who enjoys both leading a clinical team and staying connected to patients through hands-on care. Position Overview This is a hybrid leadership position that combines clinical management with direct patient care. You'll help oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing program while also providing skilled nursing visits in the field. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll play a key role in shaping and growing our clinical services.

Agency Administrator What You'll Be Doing Clinical Leadership Provide oversight and direction for all clinical services. Review and manage patient Plans of Care and physician orders. Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with home health and

requirements. Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement activities (QAPI). Help maintain agency readiness for state surveys and regulatory reviews. Collaborate with physicians and referral sources to coordinate patient care and obtain required documentation. Team Development & Operations Recruit, interview, and help onboard nurses and home health aides. Provide orientation, mentoring, and ongoing clinical support to staff. Conduct supervisory visits and competency evaluations. Work with the administrative team to coordinate staffing and scheduling. Foster a positive, patient-focused culture that supports teamwork and accountability. Direct Patient Care Complete skilled nursing visits in patients' homes. Perform assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress. Provide skilled interventions including medication management, wound care, and other physician-ordered treatments. Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. Supervise LPNs and home health aides in accordance with New Mexico home health regulations. Educate patients and families about their care, medications, and available benefits. Collaboration & Compliance Partner with billing and administrative staff to ensure clinical documentation supports timely claims processing. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and leadership meetings. Help strengthen and improve clinical programs as the agency continues to grow. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico, in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of home health experience , or 3 years of clinical nursing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role . Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills. Experience developing and managing patient care plans. Valid New Mexico driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits. Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to hire). Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager, or Supervising RN. Experience with home health operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
