MDS Director

Director of MDS position available at a Long Term Care Facility in Rockland County, NY. The

MDS DIRECTOR

maintains the standards of nursing care as related to the nursing department while supervising and guiding the MDS coordinators.

Responsibilities:

Completing and updating MDS forms on all patients in the care facility Performing clinical assessments to gather information on residents Developing care plans for patients to coordinate available services Submitting updates and paperwork to maintain compliance Participating in the admission and discharge processes Conducting and attending meetings with other care team members Investigating complaints or issues from residents and their families Educating patients and their families

Requirements:

RN License in the state of NY Proven experience as a MDS Director in a LTC facility 3+ years experience in a MDS position Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid requirements Familiarity with the MDS assessment tool, including MDS coding knowledge An understanding of medical terminology, nursing practices and patient care standards Comfort with electronic records

Up to $170,000.00 per year
