Job Description

JCCA is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead healthcare services for children and youth at our Westchester Residential Campus . Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Operations, the Director of Nursing provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed medical care within our residential treatment program. This is an excellent opportunity for a mission-driven nurse leader who is passionate about improving health outcomes for vulnerable youth and leading a collaborative clinical team.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff within the Residential Medical Program. Ensure clinical services meet city, state, and federal regulatory standards and agency policies. Partner with senior clinical leadership to develop and implement medical and nursing strategies for the residential campus. Monitor clinical outcomes and lead quality improvement initiatives , audits, and compliance efforts. Oversee staff training, professional development, and performance management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure coordinated care for youth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred. Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License Minimum five ( 5) years of supervisory experience with pediatric population Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required NYS Driver's License preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Leadership and management skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and promote a positive working environment Passion for and commitment to working with diverse, vulnerable communities in line with JCCA's mission. Knowledge of and/or experience with the child welfare system. Proficient MS Office skills with the ability to learn new platforms Join JCCA and help ensure children in residential care receive the high-quality healthcare and support they need to thrive. Full-time, 9:00 AM•5:00 PM, weekdays (Monday-Friday), with some flexibility required
Salary:
$135K•$140
K Pay:
$135,000.00•$140,000.00 per year
