Job Description

Director of Nursing – Home InfusionAlbany, New YorkAs Director of Nursing, you'll oversee clinical operations across home infusion and ambulatory infusion services, leading a team of dedicated nurses and healthcare professionals who deliver complex therapies directly to patients.

This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys balancing clinical excellence, team development, operational strategy, and regulatory compliance.
Overview:
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing supervisors, team leaders, and clinical staff.

Foster a culture centered on patient safety, accountability, professional growth, and exceptional care.

Recruit, develop, and retain top clinical talent while creating opportunities for ongoing education and advancement.

Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across clinical and operational objectives.

Drive Clinical ExcellenceEnsure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across home infusion and ambulatory infusion settings.

Oversee clinical programs, quality initiatives, performance improvement efforts, and emergency preparedness planning.

Support teams in managing complex patient care situations while promoting best practices and positive patient outcomes.

Serve as a trusted resource for clinical decision-making and problem-solving.

Shape Operations and GrowthMonitor key operational and clinical performance indicators to support efficient staffing, patient service delivery, and organizational growth.

Evaluate trends in patient census, service demand, and resource utilization to proactively address business needs.

Collaborate with leadership to optimize workflows, strengthen operational performance, and support strategic initiatives.

Maintain oversight of clinical documentation, reporting, and agency performance metrics.

Ensure Compliance and Regulatory ReadinessMaintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards.

Lead efforts related to policy implementation, quality assurance, regulatory surveys, and accreditation activities.

Ensure clinical documentation and agency operations consistently meet regulatory requirements.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Preferred BackgroundActive, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Five or more years of nursing experience within your scope of practice.

Leadership experience within home infusion, home health, specialty pharmacy, or related healthcare settings.

Experience supervising nursing teams and multidisciplinary clinical staff.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, quality management, and clinical operations.

Current CPR/BLS certification.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
