The Director of Nursing (DON) plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure Company standards. Must possess current RN License and be in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing. At least two years' experience in nursing administration, including supervision, preferably in a long-term care setting. Knowledgeable about regulations and standards established by Medicare, Medicaid and state and city government. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Nursing to lead our nursing operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive management experience within healthcare settings, with a focus on education administration, leadership, and clinical excellence. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee nursing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and drive initiatives that promote quality patient care while fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to nursing teams, ensuring delivery of compassionate and efficient patient care. Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards and best practices. Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain optimal operational efficiency. Manage budgets related to nursing services, ensuring cost-effective practices without compromising quality. Lead educational initiatives and training programs to enhance staff competencies and professional development. Collaborate with physicians, healthcare administrators, and community partners to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Monitor compliance with health regulations and accreditation requirements through regular audits and assessments. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, teamwork, and open communication among staff. Requirements Proven experience in healthcare management with a strong background in nursing leadership. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and management within a healthcare or educational setting. Extensive knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and quality assurance standards. Experience in education administration or teaching within a university or academic environment is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and promote professional growth. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. A registered nurse (RN) license is required; additional certifications in management or healthcare administration are preferred.
