Job Description

Director of Nursing (DON) The Village Health Care Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of quality resident care in our long-term care facility. Position Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. The DON serves as a leader, mentor, and advocate for both residents and nursing staff while promoting a culture of quality care, compliance, teamwork, and resident-centered service. Essential Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing services within the facility. Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements. Oversee staffing, scheduling, and nursing department operations. Participate in survey preparedness and manage plans of correction when needed. Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Monitor clinical outcomes and implement corrective actions as necessary. Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs. Participate in hiring, orientation, evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes. Collaborate with physicians, consultants, pharmacy, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members. Ensure accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance. Manage infection prevention, antibiotic stewardship, falls prevention, wound care, and other clinical programs. Maintain a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care. Qualifications Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Previous long-term care experience required. Previous management or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of Oklahoma long-term care regulations and survey process. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$85,700.00 - $98,000.00 per year
