Director of Nursing- DON

A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Erie, PA area is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Nursing to lead its clinical operations. This is a confidential leadership search. We are looking for a clinically strong, survey-savvy nursing leader who can inspire a team, maintain regulatory excellence, and elevate quality outcomes. Position Overview The Director of Nursing will oversee all nursing services within the facility, ensuring compliance, quality care delivery, and strong team performance. This role is ideal for a leader who values accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee all nursing operations within the facility Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Health and federal regulations Maintain survey readiness and lead quality improvement initiatives Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical team development Monitor clinical metrics and implement performance improvement plans Partner with the Administrator to drive operational stability and positive outcomes Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and compassionate care Qualifications Active Pennsylvania RN license required Prior DON or Assistant DON experience in skilled nursing preferred Strong knowledge of PA survey process and regulatory compliance Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and coaching skills Proven ability to manage staffing and clinical performance Compensation Competitive base salary Bonus opportunity Comprehensive benefits package All inquiries and candidate information will be handled with strict confidentiality.
