Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our healthcare leadership team. This vital role blends strategic oversight with hands-on management to ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care and operational excellence. As an integral leader, you will support nursing operations, guide clinical teams, and promote a culture of collaboration, education, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, regulatory compliance, and overall organizational success. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff to ensure high-quality care and alignment with organizational goals Oversee daily clinical operations including staffing, scheduling, and workflow efficiency Assist with budgeting, staffing plans, and resource allocation for nursing services Support and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives Coordinate staff education, training programs, and ongoing professional development Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and retention strategies Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory standards Qualifications & Experience Current RN license (State of [Insert State]) Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, Infection Control or similar role Strong knowledge of long-term care/skilled nursing regulations and best practices Experience with staffing, scheduling, and team leadership Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Passion for mentoring staff and fostering a positive work environment
