In this pivotal role, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, maintaining high standards of quality care, and fostering a compassionate environment for residents. Your leadership will inspire a team of dedicated nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver personalized, comprehensive care that enhances residents' well-being and dignity. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing departments, including assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care services. Develop, implement, and monitor resident care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure tailored and effective care delivery. Supervise nurse management staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and fostering professional growth within the nursing team. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare requirements, and state licensing standards while maintaining meticulous medical records and documentation review processes. Oversee the management of electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accurate data entry and secure handling of sensitive information. Lead shift management activities to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained for safe and efficient resident care across all shifts. Review medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and care documentation regularly to uphold high standards of nursing practice. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize resident outcomes through effective communication and care coordination. Drive quality assurance initiatives by analyzing clinical data related to MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and implementing improvements based on findings. Promote a culture of compliance with HIPAA regulations while safeguarding residents' privacy rights at all times. Qualifications Valid RN license with current state registration; previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, home health or hospice care strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a healthcare setting; proven success managing nursing teams in fast-paced environments. Extensive knowledge of nursing administration principles, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for medical records management; ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms. Strong understanding of Medicare regulations and compliance standards applicable to long-term care facilities. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging residents' families effectively. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in shift management and resource allocation.
