Director of Nursing Confidential Monroeville, PA 15146 From $75,000 a year - Full-time From $75,000 a year - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee nursing administration, manage staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while promoting high standards of patient care. Responsibilities Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring quality care for all residents. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Oversee the creation and implementation of individualized care plans for residents. Ensure accurate documentation and review of medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to support clinical decision-making. Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly. Qualifications Valid LPN license with significant experience in nursing management or administration. Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, home health, hospice care, or acute care environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team. Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and Medicare regulations. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, residents, and families. Knowledge of documentation review processes and medical records management. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a focus on resident-centered care.
