This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing services within our healthcare facilities. The DON ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective management of nursing staff and resources. In this role, you will develop and implement nursing policies and procedures, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and promote a culture of excellence and compassion. The DON will also lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices in patient safety.Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the nursing department across assigned facilities. Manage nursing staff recruitment, development, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Develop and maintain nursing policies, protocols, and standards of care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes. Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives focused on enhancing patient safety and satisfaction. Oversee budget management and resource allocation for nursing services. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the applicable state(s). Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in acute care or long-term care settings. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical best practices. Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive change in a dynamic environment. Experience with budget management and quality improvement methodologies.
