Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the surgery center and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. This is a leadership role that requires strong managerial skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare.Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to all surgery center staff, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and patient-focused environment. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of patient care, including admissions, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge processes. Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesia, and staff to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care. Monitor and evaluate staff performance, delivering constructive feedback, coaching, and implementing performance improvement plans as needed. Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of personnel to maintain a highly skilled and competent workforce. Oversee the implementation, organization, auditing, and maintenance of surgical charts to ensure accuracy and compliance with Medicare and AAAHC standards. Stay current on best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in nursing and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) operations to continually enhance patient outcomes. Manage ordering of supplies and equipment to support clinical and operational needs. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Sheets/Forms. This position offers the wonderful flexibility of perdiem/part-time work with no holidays, weekends or evenings with added benefit of being partially remote from home for several hours a week.Job Type:
