This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and resident-centered care. The ideal candidate will bring extensive nursing experience, particularly in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, or hospice care, along with strong management and supervisory skills. As a key leader, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote continuous quality improvement to enhance residents' well-being and staff performance. Duties Lead and coordinate all nursing activities within the facility, ensuring high standards of resident care and safety. Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, incorporating medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Supervise nursing staff, including nurse management and shift management, fostering a collaborative team environment. Oversee documentation review processes to maintain accurate medical records, medical records compliance, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Manage compliance with Medicare requirements, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and other regulatory standards. Conduct regular audits of medical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness; review care plans for quality assurance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services such as acute care, hospice care, home health, and home care programs. Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to optimize shift coverage while maintaining quality standards. Provide leadership in training initiatives related to nursing administration, medical terminology updates, anatomy knowledge, and HIPAA compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits related to nursing services. Skills Extensive experience in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or hospice environments with proven nurse management capabilities. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Deep understanding of nursing administration principles combined with excellent leadership qualities. Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems for documentation management. Knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement processes related to skilled nursing services. Familiarity with care planning processes for residents' (personalized resident needs). Expertise in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and documentation review techniques. Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with residents' families, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies.
