Assistant Director of Nursing

Assistant Director of Nursing provides additional support to nursing and promotes quality of care through teamwork. Conduct new hire Nurse and CNA orientation with follow-up for staff retention. Serves as an ongoing resource for new hire development 1:1 Nurse and CNA education on issues identified, as well as assisting DON with staff education. Participates in nursing in-service and education programs. Assesses, monitors, and evaluates resident care and services, as well as resident outcomes. Serves as Facility Infection Control Nurse. Infection Control prevention through environmental and resident rounds focusing on hand hygiene and sanitation. Assist with responsibilities of the MDS Coordinator as directed by Director of Nursing/Executive Director. QAPI audits and participates in QAPI meetings as directed. Participates in ABAQIS Assist with B Eternal Feeding request from supplier. Other related duties as assigned.
