Director of Nursing Legacy Healthcare Financial Services LLC dental insurance, life insurance, 401(k) United States, South Dakota, Rapid City May 19, 2026 Director of Nursing, RN SD Skilled Nursing We are seeking an experience Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Rapid City, South Dakota. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, setting, and attaining Nursing Department goals, inspiring your clinical team, creative problem solving and overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department.
Director of Nursing Qualifications and Skills:
In this role, the Director of Nursing will be expected to: Collaborate with physicians, the administrator, and department leaders as part of the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced, premier Skilled Nursing Facility. Communicate effectively, with both strong written and verbal communication skills. Excel at relationship building and provide strong leadership skills. Learn quickly and demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Develop meaningful relationships with patients and their families and maintain an excellent bedside manner. Work calmly in high-pressure situations. Lead by example. Qualifications A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. At least three (3) years of management experience and at least five (5) years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility are required. Must possess a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice. Leadership competencies including developed interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to inspire and operate effectively at all levels.
