Position Summary The Resident Wellness Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of resident health and wellness, including clinical oversight, care planning, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and team development. This leadership role serves as a key partner to the Executive Director and plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional resident care while maintaining compliance with state regulations and Inspirit Senior Living standards. The Resident Wellness Director is responsible for supporting resident well-being, facilitating care conferences, completing Service Plans, training and developing team members, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Residents Families Team Members Healthcare Providers Community Agencies Vendors Referral Sources Essential ResponsibilitiesResident Health & Wellness Maintain current Service Plans in accordance with company policy and state regulations Complete assessments and participate in Service Plan meetings Monitor daily reports and resident status changes Communicate regularly with families, physicians, and healthcare providers Coordinate assessments with Community Relations Conduct initial, wellness, and illness visits Identify and address ongoing resident needs Review and discuss service level changes, including medication and incontinence services Serve as liaison between residents, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and outside facilities Ensure continuity of care during resident transitions Maintain supply inventory and oversee the Incontinence Program Provide emergency first aid when necessary Monitor infections, incidents, and infection control practices Maintain resident documentation, confidentiality, and Wellness Files Assist with the diet board/book Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) Document all care, services, and resident changes in real time Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant Record ADLs, medications, vitals, incidents, and changes in condition Utilize approved devices for point-of-care documentation Correct documentation errors promptly according to policy Training & Team Development Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding Ensure compliance with required training Provide ongoing coaching, education, and support Conduct employee performance evaluations Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Medication Aide Supervision Support medication administration training programs Monitor medication documentation for accuracy and compliance Assist with self-administration programs as appropriate Communication & Family Support Support residents and families through care transitions Coordinate communication with hospitals and outside providers Provide family updates for hospitalized residents at least twice weekly Address medication and pharmacy-related concerns Regulatory Compliance Support OSHA compliance and state-required training initiatives Maintain knowledge of all applicable state regulations and company policies Ensure community compliance with wellness-related requirements Quality Assurance Review incident reports and develop corrective action plans when needed Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement meetings Review physician orders and pharmacy reports monthly Monitor trends and implement process improvements Administrative Responsibilities Complete employee performance reviews in a timely manner Maintain compliance tracking systems and documentation Support departmental operations and organizational goals Leadership Expectations Provide daily coaching, mentoring, and support to team members Lead by example through visibility, professionalism, and engagement Facilitate and participate in Stand-Up and Cross-Over meetings Promote a positive, resident-centered culture throughout the community

Experience:
Assisted living or memory care : 3 years (Required)
