The DON will oversee all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and the highest standard of resident care. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct nursing services to deliver quality care. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including performance management. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Coordinate resident admissions, discharges, and care evaluations. Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff. Develop and monitor departmental budgets and supply usage. Lead quality assurance programs and staff education initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee, in good standing. 5-7 years of long-term care experience , with at least 5 years in a management role. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of geriatric care, rehabilitation, infection control, and regulatory compliance. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs (and assist with resident transfers when needed). Work primarily indoors in a healthcare setting, with occasional exposure to body fluids, odors, and chemicals. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
