Director of Nursing (DON)
Location:
Long-Term Care Facility Position Type:
Full-Time Join Our Leadership Team! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department in delivering high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with a passion for long-term care, regulatory compliance, and team development.
DON Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the nursing department Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) Develop and implement policies and procedures Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent resident care Manage staffing, scheduling, and budget oversight Participate in surveys and ensure readiness at all times
DON Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in TN Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in LTC/SNF Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation
