Assistant AL Director (LVN) Lakewest Assisted Living Dallas, TX Lakewest Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Assistant AL Director (LVN) to support the daily clinical and operational functions of our Assisted Living community. This role is responsible for ensuring documentation compliance, supporting staff education and scheduling, maintaining resident records, and assisting with quality care initiatives in a professional and resident-centered environment. As the Assistant AL Director (LVN), you will work closely with the AL Director and interdisciplinary team to support regulatory compliance, staffing coordination, resident care services, and operational excellence while promoting a positive experience for residents, families, and team members. Job Summary The Assistant AL Director (LVN) supports the AL Director in ensuring documentation compliance, resident service coordination, staff scheduling support, and education for Assisted Living personnel. This position assists with maintaining accurate resident records, physician orders, staffing documentation, and compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations and policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with maintaining current Individual Service Plans (ISPs), Comprehensive Evaluations, and resident records. Ensure daily service documentation is completed accurately and reflects current resident levels of care. Assist with maintaining current physician orders and resident services for all Assisted Living residents. Maintain service tracker needs within the EHR system. Assist with record keeping for facility in-service education and orientation classes for newly hired personnel. Support monthly Assisted Living staff scheduling and coordinate staffing requests to ensure appropriate unit coverage. Consult with the AL Director and supervisors regarding staffing and scheduling needs to reduce or eliminate coverage concerns. Track and maintain nursing staff attendance and timekeeping records. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, physicians, staff, vendors, and interdepartmental personnel. Support regulatory compliance efforts and ensure adherence to federal, state, and community standards. Assist with staff education, training, and operational support initiatives as needed. Promote teamwork, professionalism, and positive communication throughout the facility. Perform additional duties and assignments as required to support facility operations. All care and services will be provided in accordance with: Federal and State Rules and Regulations Community Policies and Procedures Standards of Nursing Practice Residents' Bill of Rights Employee Handbook Policies HIPAA Compliance Standards Qualifications We are seeking an Assistant AL Director who demonstrates strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to support a positive and compliant clinical environment. Required Qualifications Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required. Assisted Living experience preferred. Knowledge of basic computer systems and comfort utilizing technology and EHR systems. Ability to support teamwork and contribute positively to the team environment. Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment when necessary. Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally with residents, families, staff, visitors, government agencies, and the public. Ability and willingness to work collaboratively and harmoniously with interdisciplinary personnel. Must possess patience, professionalism, enthusiasm, and compassion when working with residents and staff. Willingness to seek and implement new methods and best practices into existing nursing procedures and workflows. Ability to appropriately communicate information regarding resident conditions and care needs. Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress associated with healthcare operations. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills preferred. Experience with staffing coordination, scheduling, and documentation compliance preferred.
