Job Description

Sage Oak Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team in Denton. We are looking for a licensed nurse leader who is passionate about resident care, team development, and creating an exceptional experience for seniors and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead clinical operations in a growing community that values excellence, accountability, and a resident-centered approach to care. Position Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing works closely with the Director of Nursing and community leadership team to oversee resident care, support clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote the highest standards of quality and service throughout the community. We are specifically seeking a candidate who combines strong clinical skills with leadership abilities and a commitment to mentoring and developing caregivers and nursing staff. Responsibilities Assist in the oversight of daily clinical operations Support and supervise nursing and caregiving staff Ensure resident assessments, service plans, and clinical documentation are completed accurately and timely Participate in resident admissions, evaluations, and care coordination Monitor quality assurance and regulatory compliance Assist with medication management and clinical audits Provide coaching, training, and leadership to team members Collaborate with physicians, families, pharmacies, and healthcare providers Support emergency preparedness and resident safety initiatives Promote a positive culture focused on compassionate care and teamwork
QualificationsRequired:
Current and active nursing license (LVN or RN) in the State of Texas Previous leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or healthcare Strong knowledge of resident care practices and regulatory requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a clinical team
Preferred:
