Director of Nursing - Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Treatment We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations at a growing substance abuse treatment and behavioral health facility in Ennis, Texas . The Director of Nursing will oversee detoxification services, residential treatment nursing staff, and medication management programs while ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse (RN) with behavioral health, addiction treatment, or psychiatric nursing leadership experience who is passionate about helping individuals recover from substance use disorders. This role provides an opportunity to lead a mission-driven treatment team focused on recovery, clinical excellence, and compassionate care . Key Responsibilities The Director of Nursing will provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services within the substance abuse treatment program , including: Lead and supervise all nursing staff, including RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Medical Assistants Oversee detoxification protocols and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) Ensure compliance with state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and behavioral health licensing requirements Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and clinical protocols Collaborate with medical providers, psychiatrists, therapists, and clinical leadership Monitor patient safety, quality assurance, and infection control programs Manage staff scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management Support admissions and medical assessments for new clients entering treatment Maintain accurate medical documentation and EMR compliance Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development Qualifications Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, detox, or psychiatric nursing Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment protocols Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills Benefits We offer a competitive leadership compensation package including: Performance bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Professional development opportunities Opportunity to lead a growing behavioral health treatment program About Our Organization Our mission is: To provide accessible, reliable, and effective behavioral health treatment options nationwide for any moment, in anyone's recovery journey.
