This pivotal role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional resident care. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive leadership style, extensive clinical expertise, and a passion for enhancing quality of life for our residents. As a key member of the management team, you will drive initiatives that promote safety, efficiency, and excellence in nursing services across assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure high standards of resident care and staff performance. Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage shift schedules to maintain optimal staffing levels while ensuring quality care delivery. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth operations across departments such as therapy, social services, and medical administration. Ensure accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments (Minimum Data Set) for regulatory compliance and reimbursement purposes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare regulations, healthcare policies, and industry best practices related to nursing services. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems for efficient documentation and data management. Conduct regular audits of medical records and documentation review processes to uphold accuracy and compliance standards. Lead initiatives in nurse management and supervising experience to foster professional development within the nursing team. Promote a culture of safety by adhering to physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology understanding, and proper care procedures. Support the implementation of care plans that align with residents' (personal preferences), medical conditions, and overall well-being goals. Requirements Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license with current licensure in the state of practice. Extensive experience in assisted living, nursing home experience, home health, hospice care or acute care environments. Proven leadership skills with demonstrated nurse management and supervising experience. Strong knowledge of nursing administration principles along with familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. In-depth understanding of physiology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and documentation review processes. Experience managing shift management schedules while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Familiarity with Medicare regulations and the development of care plans tailored to diverse resident needs. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to navigate complex medical records systems while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
