Enjoy additional earnings through our bonus programs. About the Role The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the nursing department. This includes oversight of clinical care, supervision of nursing staff, regulatory compliance, and implementation of policies and procedures that support quality outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with sound judgment, accountability, and the ability to lead teams through expectations and change. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current, active RN license in the state of Texas, maintained in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing. Meets background check requirements per Texas Health and Human Services Commission (THHSC) standards. Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and supervise the Nursing Department in coordination with other resident services. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage staff professionally and effectively. Ability to implement changes driven by federal, state, and organizational requirements. Willingness to be present in the facility across varying shifts, including weekdays and weekends, as needed. Familiarity with PCC preferred, but not required. Responsibilities Oversee all nursing operations to ensure high-quality resident care. Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements. Assess resident needs and ensure appropriate care planning and execution. Monitor nursing practices through quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to nursing staff. Participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and orientation of nursing personnel. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care. Develop and manage nursing schedules to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds , as needed.
