Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of nursing administration, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. This role is crucial in overseeing nursing operations, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and enhancing the quality of care provided to our residents. Responsibilities
  • Pharmacy Department Management
  • : Oversee stocking, ordering, formulary updates, audits, medication security, controlled substance tracking, crash cart maintenance, and policy enforcement. Weekly meetings with the pharmacist and coordination with the Director of Operations (DOO).
  • Licensed Personnel Education & Training
  • : Conduct training and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Staff Oversight
  • : Assist in hiring, termination, scheduling, and evaluation of RNs in conjunction with the DOO.
  • Perioperative Nursing
  • : Work on the floor as needed to support ASC operations.
  • ASC Operations & Flow Management
  • : Ensure smooth daily operations and assist as needed.
  • Infection Control Preventionist
  • : Maintain and enforce infection control policies per APIC guidelines.
  • Supply Management
  • : Oversee supply ordering and maintain par levels.
  • Administrative & Management Duties
  • : Work closely with leadership on facility structure, patient safety, satisfaction, quality assurance, and compliance initiatives. Participate in weekly meetings and end-of-day communications.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • : Maintain exposure control policies, conduct audits, participate in QAPI, and contribute to facility governance.
  • Committee & Leadership Involvement
  • : Serve as a key member of multiple committees, including:
  • Governing Board
  • Medical Executive Committee
  • Administration Team
  • Infection Control Committee
  • Pharmacy Protocol Committee
  • Staff Evaluations & Competencies
  • : Conduct annual evaluations and competency assessments for RNs and ancillary staff in conjunction with the DOO.
  • Facility Maintenance & Policy Enforcement
  • : Support facility upkeep and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
Experience Proven leadership experience in a nursing role, preferably with outpatient surgery centers, pain management, OBA Strong background in supervising nursing staff and managing healthcare teams effectively. In-depth knowledge of medical records management, documentation review processes, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. A valid nursing license is required; additional certifications in nursing administration or leadership are preferred.
