The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to nursing excellence. As an integral part of our healthcare team, the Assistant Director of Nursing will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and promote staff development to uphold our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care. Duties Review and audit plans of care on a weekly basis and ensure doctor orders and the plan of care is being followed and the services are in line with Medicare/Insurance guidelines. Review and audit admissions (SOC), recertifications, resumption of care (ROC), discharges and patient visits. Coordinate the care provided to assigned patients with nursing and therapy staff through effective communication and delegation. Operate and manage clinical supervisory workflow in HCHB system. Coach, give instruction, and/or demonstrate proper technique where necessary to field staff in the provision of care in order to ensure high quality and continuity of services, including field visits when necessary. Prepare for and participate in weekly case conferences by reviewing patient records, and acquiring physician orders and recertification of patients per episode. Monitor and analyze issues of assigned patients' plans of care and identify areas for process improvement. Keep patients and their family members updated on patient plans of care, recertifications and with any changes to or concerns regarding the plan of care. Ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy in the completion and submission of patient assessments and visit notes. Conduct periodic field visits as needed, and submit applicable paperwork on a timely basis. Ensure compliance with and provide guidance to field staff as necessary regarding all State and Federal regulations, as it relates to patient care. Assist and provide input to the Director of Nursing regarding performance, conduct and needs for professional development of field staff. Participate in on-call rotation for weekends and holidays, and provide phone triage, support and visits during scheduled on-call periods. Proof and edit documentation as necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness. Willingly perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator to support high quality patient treatment and the success of the company. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with current state certification or license required. Proven experience in nursing leadership roles, preferably within a hospital or healthcare facility setting. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality assurance practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, patients, and external agencies. Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change management and process improvement initiatives. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher; a master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred but not mandatory.
