Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - LVN or RN This is a full-time, salaried position with a Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Position Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides leadership, direction, and support to the nursing team to promote quality resident care and efficient nursing operations. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and assists with the oversight of clinical services, staff coaching, and day-to-day nursing functions. The ADON relies on the DON for guidance and support in carrying out departmental goals and objectives. Responsibilities Supervise Nurse Aides and Medication Aides; provide coaching and corrective action as needed. Receive and evaluate reports on patient/resident status and ensure appropriate resources are in place to meet resident needs. Conduct rounds in assigned areas of oversight to assess quality of care, intervene as necessary, and interact with staff and residents. Provide direct nursing care, including assessing patient/resident conditions, communicating with attending physicians/practitioners, and carrying out nursing functions as needed. Accurately document patient/resident conditions, assessments, communications, and care provided. Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
Required Qualifications:
Current LVN or RN licensure with an active, unrestricted state license in the applicable state. Prior healthcare or long-term care experience. Nursing experience in a long-term care facility. Previous supervisory experience. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Current BLS/CPR certification. Ability to lift at least 51 pounds on a regular basis and provide physical assistance to residents as needed. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
