The Nurse Manager will assume overall responsibilities for planning, coordinating and managing the Nursing Department and establishing the policies, procedures and the standards of nursing practice. Assesses and plans for effective patient flow process by evaluating the available supply of patient bed space, efficiency/safety of patient care, treatment, and support services that impact patient flow. Serves as
Nurse Executive:
providing an adequate number of competent staff; orientation, training and education of staff; assessing, maintaining and improving staff competence/ hands on understanding. Responsible for employee growth and development, recruitment and retention, and reward/recognition programs. The Nurse Manager adopts an approach to hospital-wide performance improvement that ensures important processes and activities are planned, designed, measured, assessed and improved. Communicates Atrium Medical Center's mission and values to internal/external customers as well as staff. Collaborates with all departments to integrate programs and services.
