This pivotal role involves overseeing all clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health care, and fostering a compassionate environment for residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive nursing experience in psychiatric and acute care settings, and a deep understanding of regulatory standards. Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership for nursing staff, promoting best practices in psychiatric and acute mental health care. Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to residents' individual needs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements including Medicare and HIPAA. Oversee clinical operations, including documentation review, medical records management, and adherence to medical terminology standards. Supervise nurse management teams, providing guidance on shift management, staff scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments such as MDS (Minimum Data Set) and other documentation required for regulatory compliance. Maintain a safe environment by supervising safety protocols related to physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and emergency procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care plans, focusing on recovery goals within a supportive psychiatric setting. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems effectively for documentation review and medical records management. Requirements Proven experience in nursing administration within psychiatric hospitals or similar mental health facilities. Strong background in assisted living, nursing home experience, home health, hospice care, or acute care settings. Demonstrated supervising experience with nurse management responsibilities. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation standards such as HIPAA regulations. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR systems for efficient record keeping. Ability to lead shift management effectively while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and staff supervision. Knowledge of Medicare regulations related to psychiatric services and resident care funding sources. Strong communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.
