Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing team and oversee all clinical operations within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nursing management, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills, a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, and a passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care. As Director of Nursing Services, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, managing nursing staff, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and excellence in resident care. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and supervision of nursing staff to ensure delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care aligned with facility policies and regulatory standards. Develop, implement, and monitor resident care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to meet individual needs and promote optimal health outcomes. Oversee the management of medical records, documentation review, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy. Coordinate staffing schedules, shift management, and resource allocation to maintain adequate coverage while optimizing operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, and other applicable laws governing healthcare facilities. Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing clinical documentation, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Manage the integration of electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline clinical workflows. Supervise nurse management activities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development programs. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration among nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and administrative personnel. Stay informed on advancements in physiology knowledge, anatomy principles, and medical terminology relevant to nursing practice to enhance clinical decision-making. Qualifications Proven nursing leadership experience within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or similar long-term care settings. Extensive background in nursing administration with demonstrated success in supervising multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare policies, HIPAA compliance standards, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for managing medical records and clinical documentation. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to support effective resident assessments and care planning. Experience managing care facility teams through effective shift management and administrative clinical supervision. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead staff meetings, conduct training sessions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher; current RN licensure required; additional certifications in healthcare management are advantageous. $81,654.73 - $98,336.88 per year
