For a view into our world, please visit our website at www.birminghamgreen.org Responsibilities/Accountabilities We have an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist that can: Back-up for Director of Nursing and Clinical Services in her absence, in all areas of responsibilities and duties. Assists the Director of Nursing and Clinical Services in the recruitment and selection of nursing service personnel. Coordinates the Pain Management Program, fall team and infection control. Coordinates the Wound Team. On call responsibilities including providing weekend coverage. Coordinates the three unit managers in meeting all continuous quality improvement initiatives. Evaluates care systems and researches and recommends changes as needed to improve resident outcomes.

Experience/Skills/Education Required:

I nfection Control Certification Current unencumbered RN license CPR Certification Three or more years of experience in LTC including supervisory, staff development and quality improvement programs Must possess working knowledge of Medicare regulations Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills

Preferred:

G erontological nurse certification.
