RN Assistant Director of Nursing 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 200 Hioaks Road, Richmond, VA 23225 Full-time Beaufont Health & Rehabilitation Center 30 reviews Full-time The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations and ensuring high‑quality, compliant patient care. This role provides leadership to nursing staff, assists with supervision and scheduling, supports recruitment and retention, and helps drive quality improvement initiatives. The ADON also coordinates interdisciplinary care, addresses patient and family concerns, and serves as DON when needed. Key Responsibilities Support DON leadership and oversee nursing department operations Ensure regulatory compliance with all nursing standards and guidelines Coordinate patient care with medical staff and other departments Address clinical issues and implement corrective action plans Investigate concerns from patients, families, and staff Assist with hiring , onboarding, and staff retention Manage staffing & scheduling within budgeted HPPD Lead performance evaluations and provide ongoing staff feedback Support training & orientation for nursing personnel Participate in Quality Assurance and clinical process improvement Qualifications ADN required; BSN preferred Active RN license in the state of employment Strong leadership and communication skills Independent decision‑making ability Knowledge of nursing standards , survey process, and quality measures Computer proficiency Customer‑service focus
