Job Description

Director of Nursing - Skilled Nursing Facility Full-time | In-person Lead with Excellence. Elevate Care. A skilled nursing facility is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and drive improved resident outcomes. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a qualified RN who understands the regulatory landscape, excels in team development, and is ready to take on a meaningful challenge in a facility that has room for growth. Opportunity:
This role is ideal for a nurse leader who is driven by clinical quality, team accountability, and the opportunity to make lasting improvements. While the facility has faced performance challenges, there is strong support from referring hospitals and a clear need for a DON who can bring structure, systems, and a focus on compliance.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations Leading and mentoring nursing staff to improve consistency, morale, and accountability Partnering with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality, person-centered care Preparing for and managing state surveys with a focus on corrective action and long-term improvement Monitoring and improving key quality measures, including pain management, medication administration, and accident prevention
What You Bring:
Active RN license (multi-state or eligible for endorsement) Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or ADON in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting Strong understanding of CMS regulations, quality measures, and staffing standards Ability to drive culture change, engage staff, and build trust with residents and families Proven success improving clinical outcomes and survey readiness Ready to Lead Change Where It Matters Most?
