Job Description

Edenbrook Lakeside, a proud member of the Eden Senior Care network, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled A ssistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support and oversee our Ventilator Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about providing high-quality respiratory and skilled nursing care within a supportive and resident-centered environment. As the ADON for the Ventilator Unit, you will play a key role in ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development while working closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team. You'll help lead daily operations, support clinical workflows, and drive quality outcomes for our ventilator-dependent residents.
Position:
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) -
Ventilator Unit Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Ventilator Unit. Assist in developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Support staff development, training, onboarding, and performance improvement. Oversee infection control practices and wound care management. Conduct routine nursing rounds to monitor care quality and support staff. Ensure resident rights, safety, and protection from abuse or neglect. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and assist with operational planning. Collaborate with the DON to mentor nursing staff and maintain a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
Current and active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required. 3-5 years of experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred. Ventilator care experience is a significant plus. Strong knowledge of state survey processes, CMS regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and clinical technology/equipment. Prior experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to resident-centered care and supporting a collaborative team environment.
