Program Director Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program HonorHealth Scottsdale, Arizona Affiliated with the ASU John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering HonorHealth seeks an accomplished Board-Certified Physiatrist to lead its established ACGME-accredited PM&R Residency Program as Program Director in Scottsdale, Arizona. Founded in 2019, the residency has grown into a strong program with four residents per year , dedicated core faculty, and broad clinical training across multiple PM&R practice settings. This is an exceptional opportunity for an academic physician leader to build upon a strong foundation while helping shape the next chapter of program growth, innovation, and national distinction. As an affiliate of the Arizona State University , HonorHealth offers a distinctive academic environment that integrates graduate medical education with innovation, translational research, and collaboration across medicine and engineering.

Wearable devices and AI will be an integral part shifting rehabilitation from reactive, episodic, in-clinic care to continuous, personalized, and remote monitoring, enabling early detection of complications and optimized, patient-centric, long-term care.

Opportunity Highlights Lead an established and growing PM&R residency program with strong institutional support Partner with experienced faculty across inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings Teach and practice within HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital , a key clinical training site for residents Collaborate with a robust interventional physiatry program within the Bob Bové Neuroscience Institute , including advanced spine and musculoskeletal care Help shape a new multidisciplinary wellness center integrating PM&R, orthopedics, performance optimization, and a medical fitness model Expand curriculum development in neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, spine, electro diagnostics, regenerative and interventional therapies Collaborate with physicians, scientists, and engineers through the Arizona State University John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering Ideal Candidate Board Certified in PM&R Minimum 5 years ACGME Core Faculty /APD/PD ( GME leadership preferred) Commitment to resident education, mentorship, and academic program development Interest in innovation, interdisciplinary models of care, and building nationally recognized training programs Experience in spine, musculoskeletal, neurorehabilitation, or academic physiatry valued Why HonorHealth?
