VP of Clinical ServicesPOSITION SUMMARY
As a Manager of Therapy (Outpatient) you will help to ensure that REHAB patients and their families receive caring and dedicated service at REHAB. You will be the support for the Therapy Director, your respective clinic and assist with a variety of services. These services include being responsible for the overall quality, quantity and appropriateness of rehabilitation services performed within the clinic, as well as being accountable for both the clinical and administrative aspects of the clinic and provide direct patient care within the scope of professional practice and license. This position will provide a commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive and innovative inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.Wage Range:
$90,626.60- $135,939.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
Valid State of Hawaii driver's licenseSTANDARD FOR PATIENT CARE POSITIONS
Current State of Hawaii Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech & Language Pathology Licensure. Current BLS certification Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech & Language Pathology licensure.Skills/Experience:
Two (2) years work experience as a Therapist in a rehabilitation setting Two (2) years supervisory experience or equivalent leadership experience Ability to safely and effectively manage patients' mobility Ability to clearly communicate effectively, verbally and in writing Ability to safely provide care to patientPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Advanced degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Pathology, Hospital/Healthcare Administration and/or Business.Skills/Experience:
Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation experience. Experience and/or knowledge of neuro services.Management Experience:
Three (3) or more years supervisory experience Managerial healthcare and business background in various healthcare settings.CORE VALUES

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manages assigned areas and staff effectively and efficiently, leads by example Manages daily activities of all clinic staff to optimally perform goal-oriented work. Includes assignment of duties, scheduling, utilization of overtime, and managing downtime. Handles coverage as needed for staffing shortages Conducts and completes staff performance appraisals (introductory and annual). In cooperation with other managers, directors and staff, develops and implements strategies that move patients through the rehabilitation continuum of care (in- to outpatient, home care, etc.

Responsible for the hiring, orienting, training, coaching, counseling and development of employees Ensures the employees are trained appropriately and maintains adequate level of competency to perform job duties; develops personnel to meet future requirements. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for improving processes. Develops and ensures the development of performance standards for areas of responsibility, monitors, reviews and evaluates performance for quality assurance; provides feedback to staff and takes corrective action when necessary. Responsible for the creation, implementation, and ensuring adherence to appropriate policies and procedures for departments and the hospital. Optimizes resources responsibly to ensure operations and staffing runs smoothly Encourages openness, provides a safe and positive environment within departments. Creates a safe work environment that fosters respect and positive morale. Works closely with Leadership to ensure a cohesive work environment Fosters two way communication with employees and shares information from Leadership meetings. In cooperation with Executive Leadership, develops and implements performance measurement indicators, benchmarks and goals linked to the strategic plan of the hospital through various activities of the service lines, programs, and quality improvement efforts of the department. Accepts responsibility for decisions and effective communication. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with external and internal customers to include patients, physicians, other managers and employees, surveyors, contractors and vendors. Participates on hospital committees when requested.FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Assists Executive Leadership in preparing the department(s) assigned budgets Maintains a fiscal responsibility to oversee assigned cost centers, monitors and tracks expenditures and provides explanations for variances. Comprehends departments budget and presents on key metrics Serves as the central resource for the development and implementation of strategies which are efficient, effective, timely, patient-centered, medically appropriate for an acute rehabilitation level of care, and supports appropriate financial reimbursementEQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS USED
