Pay Range:
- $41.44 - $67.44 per hour Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush's anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
- Responsible for all aspects of Occupational Therapy service delivery including evaluation, intervention planning, implementation, and reviewing outcome evaluation.

- Initial certification by NBCOT as an OTR
- Meets all state regulatory requirements
- Graduate of an accredited

Preferred Job Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as an occupational therapist
- Master's degree in occupational therapy
Responsibilities:
- Directs the evaluation process including determining the need for services, defines problems within the domain of OT, determines goals, and establishes treatment priorities.
- Interprets the information provided by the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and integrates the information into the evaluation as appropriate.
- Develops the intervention plan in collaboration with all team members.
- Implements the intervention plan.
- Determines the need to modify, continue or discontinue services.
- Selects implements and makes modifications to therapeutic activities and interventions that are consistent with patient goals and the patient's socio-cultural context.
- Demonstrates competency in providing evaluation and treatment in at least one non-primary section of the Occupational Therapy Department.
- Delegates responsibilities to the OTA within guidelines of RUMC.
- Maintains departmental productivity standards.
- Demonstrates ability to safely lift and/or move therapy equipment.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain patient safety.
- Demonstrates the ICARE values with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members
- Adheres to policies and procedures.
- Maintains accurate and timely patient records.
- Identifies areas of need for continuous quality improvement processes and program evaluation in collaboration with director and manager.
- Collaborates with the OTA to develop a plan for supervision as appropriate.
- Supervises OT practicum, level I and level II OTA or OTR students and other students as directed.
- Identifies and pursues own professional growth and development.
- Takes leadership role in embracing change.
- Identifies problems as they arise and seeks to problem solve solutions independently.
- Balance and prioritize patient care treatment with senior responsibilities.
- Demonstrates awareness of others who need assistance and is proactive about giving assistance.
- Assumes leadership role in supervisor or manager's absence with delegated tasks.
- Provides proof of completed documents related to health and education requirements.
- Functions according to the AOTA Code of Ethics and standards of the profession.
- Supports the practice of practitioner-teacher-investigator model by teaching and following evidenced based practice.
- 27.Completes annual performance appraisals with input from manager and director.
- Provides ongoing feedback regarding staff job performance.
- Ensures staff completion of assigned competencies.
- Promotes professional growth of staff.
- Facilitates continuing education meetings.
- Leads business section meeting in collaboration with manager.
- Schedules or delegates scheduling of OT students.
- Covers delegated tasks in absence of manager.
- Functions according to the AOTA Code of Ethics and standards of the profession.
- Supports the practice of practitioner-teacher-investigator model by teaching and following evidence based practice.
