Role:
The Director of Rehabilitation is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and management of rehabilitation services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by coordinating multidisciplinary teams, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Director will lead program development initiatives, staff training, and quality improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. They will also collaborate with other departments and external partners to integrate rehabilitation services into broader care plans. Ultimately, the Director of Rehabilitation drives the vision and execution of comprehensive rehabilitation programs that support patient recovery and community reintegration.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Rehabilitation Administration, Healthcare Administration, Physical Therapy, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in rehabilitation services or healthcare management. Comprehensive knowledge of rehabilitation therapies, clinical practices, and healthcare regulations. Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex healthcare programs. Strong understanding of budgeting, resource allocation, and operational management in a healthcare setting. Requires proficiency in technology-driven patient care and HRIS and timekeeping/attendance software. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking
English Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate degree (e.g., DPT, PhD, or DHA) in a relevant discipline. Certification in Rehabilitation Administration or Healthcare Management. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and data analytics tools. Demonstrated success in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes. Familiarity with community outreach and patient advocacy programs.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other related disciplines. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards relevant to rehabilitation services. Recruit, train, and supervise rehabilitation staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment. Monitor program performance through data analysis and quality improvement initiatives, making adjustments as necessary. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans. Manage budgets, resources, and equipment procurement to support rehabilitation services effectively. Serve as a liaison with external agencies, insurance providers, and community organizations to promote rehabilitation programs.
