Rehab Director - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Therapy Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Rehab Director to lead our therapy team in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The Rehab Director is responsible for overseeing daily rehabilitation operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, supporting clinical excellence, and driving positive outcomes for residents. This leadership role works closely with the Director of Rehab, therapists, nursing staff, physicians, facility administration, patients, and families to maintain a patient-centered rehabilitation program. Responsibilities & Duties Provide leadership and oversight for the rehabilitation department, including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapy services that support resident goals, functional outcomes, and quality of life Manage daily department operations, staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource utilization Monitor clinical performance, patient progress, and therapy outcomes to ensure excellence in care delivery Maintain compliance with federal, state, payer, and facility regulations, policies, and documentation requirements Collaborate with facility leadership, nursing teams, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate resident care plans Mentor, support, and develop therapy staff through coaching, training, and performance management Oversee accurate and timely documentation, billing practices, and regulatory reporting Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused therapy culture Assist with direct patient care to support departmental operations and resident needs Qualifications Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), as permitted by state regulations Previous leadership or management experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting preferred Strong knowledge of SNF regulations, reimbursement models, documentation standards, and compliance requirements Experience working with geriatric, neurological, orthopedic, and medically complex populations Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary therapy teams Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and achieving positive clinical outcomes Why Join Our Team Supportive and collaborative rehabilitation leadership environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on resident outcomes and quality of life Autonomy to lead and grow a successful therapy program Competitive compensation and opportunities for professional advancement Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) Benefits 401(k)
