Director of Rehab VNM Recruiting Franconia, New Hampshire

Director of Rehab
Salary Range:
$79,000

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Rehab to join a 72-bed nursing home. Our facility offers long term care, short term care, respite care, and a memory care unit for adult to geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehab medicine and a passion for helping patients achieve their maximum potential in physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients' physical, mental, and emotional abilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
  • Provide hands-on treatment and therapy to patients, including exercises, manual techniques, and modalities
  • Monitor and track patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for patients
  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for managing their conditions and promoting overall wellness
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records
  • Stay current with advancements and best practices in rehab medicine through continuing education and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field
  • Valid state license to practice as a Director of Rehab
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in rehab medicine, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care facility
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work weekends and rotate shifts as needed
